BioBind
Living native vegetation for erosion and sediment control
BioBind is a living native seed capsule for erosion and sediment control in boreal industrial reclamation. It is built around how plants physically stabilize soil.
Designed for industrial sites where exposed soil, slopes, ditches, swales, or drainage features need living cover, BioBind combines locally adapted native seed with beneficial soil biota to support early establishment and soil stability.
The species mix is selected for the right roots. Fast-starting forbs and graminoids help create early surface cover. Fibrous roots hold the upper soil layer. Rhizomatous species help knit disturbed ground together. Shrubs and woody species add deeper reinforcement and longer-term stability as the plant community develops.
BioBind is designed to do more than temporarily green up a site. It helps establish native vegetation that can contribute to erosion control, sediment reduction, soil development, habitat value, and long-term boreal reclamation objectives.
